The System Sensor OSY2 Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) Valve Supervisory Switch is designed to monitor the fully open position of Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) gate valves used in automatic fire sprinkler systems. Engineered for dependable valve supervision, the OSY2 provides reliable monitoring to help ensure sprinkler control valves remain in their required open position and immediately report unauthorized or accidental valve closure to the fire alarm control panel.

Built with a rugged NEMA 3R-rated die-cast metal enclosure, the OSY2 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. Its adjustable-length actuator eliminates the need to cut the actuator shaft during installation, while the user-friendly mounting bracket accommodates most OS&Y valves ranging from 1″ through 12″. The right-angle design provides maximum clearance around valve components and also allows installation on many side-bracket style pressure reducing valves.

The OSY2 features dual synchronized SPDT (Form C) contacts, allowing simultaneous activation of a fire alarm control panel and local audible device. A single-side conduit entrance simplifies wiring by eliminating the need for right-angle conduit fittings, while tamper-resistant cover screws help prevent unauthorized access. Designed in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13D, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 72, the OSY2 is an ideal supervisory switch for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential fire sprinkler systems.
