The System Sensor PSP1A Plug-in Special Purpose Supervisory Switch is a specialized valve supervisory device designed for fire sprinkler applications where conventional valve supervisory switches cannot be installed. Engineered specifically for non-rising stem gate valves, ball valves, and angle valves, the PSP1A provides dependable valve supervision while maintaining compliance with fire alarm system requirements.

Featuring a rugged NEMA 3-rated metal enclosure, the PSP1A is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. Its unique 360° mounting design and adjustable-length waterproof supervisory cord provide maximum installation flexibility, allowing the device to be mounted in various orientations to suit difficult valve configurations. A built-in lockout mechanism prevents unauthorized reinsertion of the supervisory cord until the unit has been reset, helping maintain the integrity of the supervisory circuit.

Designed for use on Class A or Class B initiating circuits, the PSP1A includes a factory-installed cover tamper switch, tamper-resistant cover screws, and an 8-foot waterproof cable. When the monitored valve is operated, the supervisory cord is pulled from the jack, initiating a supervisory signal at the fire alarm control panel. This makes the PSP1A an ideal solution for applications where standard OS&Y or butterfly valve supervisory switches cannot be used.
