Amerex Manufacturer Warranty

Amerex fire extinguishers and fire protection products sold by Tesla Fire Systems in Canada are covered in accordance with the applicable Amerex manufacturer's warranty.

Where a product carries a 6-year manufacturer's warranty, warranty coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions established by Amerex for that specific product.

Products Purchased From Tesla Fire Systems

For eligible Amerex products purchased directly from Tesla Fire Systems or through an authorized Tesla Fire Systems sales channel in Canada, we will assist customers with legitimate product warranty claims and help coordinate the applicable manufacturer warranty process.

• The product must have been purchased from Tesla Fire Systems or an authorized Tesla Fire Systems sales channel.
• Proof of purchase may be required.
• The product model and serial number may be required.
• Photographs, videos or other documentation showing the reported issue may be requested.
• Warranty eligibility remains subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms and requirements.
• Final approval for a manufacturer warranty repair, replacement or other remedy may be subject to Amerex's assessment and determination.

Fire Extinguisher Inspection & Maintenance

Fire extinguishers are life-safety devices and must be properly installed, inspected, maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and all applicable federal, provincial, territorial and local fire-safety requirements.

Warranty coverage may be affected by improper installation, misuse, physical damage, corrosion, unauthorized modification, improper servicing, failure to properly maintain the equipment or the use of non-approved replacement parts.

After a Fire Extinguisher Has Been Used

A fire extinguisher that has been partially or fully discharged should not automatically be considered ready for continued service.

Depending on the extinguisher type and model, the unit may require professional inspection, recharge, servicing or replacement before being returned to service.

What Is Not Automatically Covered

A manufacturer's warranty generally applies to qualifying manufacturing defects. Unless specifically provided by the manufacturer, warranty coverage does not automatically include routine maintenance, inspections, recharge services, hydrostatic testing, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, corrosion or normal wear and tear.

Manufacturer warranty coverage does not replace the owner's responsibility to properly inspect, maintain and service fire protection equipment in accordance with applicable requirements.
