The Tyco P/N 1119 Fire Sprinkler Head Storage Cabinet is a heavy-duty metal cabinet designed for the on-site storage of up to six spare 1/2″ or 3/4″ NPT fire sprinkler heads and an appropriate sprinkler wrench.

Tyco sprinkler cabinets provide a designated, readily accessible location for replacement sprinklers so damaged or operated sprinkler heads can be replaced when required. The cabinet is manufactured from heavy-gauge carbon steel, finished in red enamel, and features a hinged cover with internal storage provisions for spare sprinklers and a sprinkler wrench.

The cabinet incorporates knockouts designed to accommodate 1/2″ and 3/4″ NPT threaded sprinklers. Two 3/16″ (4.7 mm) mounting holes allow the cabinet to be wall mounted or attached directly to a sprinkler system riser using a strap-type hanger. Tyco recommends installing the cabinet at or near the system control valve.

Spare Sprinkler Storage

The Tyco technical data sheet references NFPA 13 requirements for maintaining a representative supply of spare sprinklers on-site. The manufacturer’s Table A identifies 6 spare sprinklers for systems with fewer than 300 sprinklers, 12 for systems containing 300–1,000 sprinklers, and 24 for systems containing more than 1,000 sprinklers. The spare stock should include the applicable sprinkler types and temperature ratings installed within the system.
