The Tesla Electric Company Limited was originally founded by Mike Velagic, whose five decades of experience as an electrician helped establish the strong technical foundation behind Tesla Electric and Tesla Fire Systems. For over 50 years, Mike worked in the electrical trade, developing extensive knowledge of electrical systems, commercial properties, construction environments, safety requirements, troubleshooting, and the importance of completing every job properly.

That experience continues to influence the way we approach fire-protection work today. Electrical systems and fire-safety systems often work closely together, and Mike's background provides valuable insight into how buildings operate, how equipment should be installed, and how safety issues can be identified before they become serious problems.

The work traits were then handed down to his son, Nedd Velagic, who started the Tesla Fire Systems division in 2006.
