How We Install
Every installation follows a clear, step-by-step process. Tap any step below to see how we do it.
Our technicians assess your building first, then install, test and document each piece of equipment so you know exactly what was done and why.
Fire Extinguishers Installation
1Site assessment
We walk your property to identify the fire hazards present (Class A, B, C or K) and determine the type, rating and number of extinguishers your building needs.
2Placement & travel distance
Extinguishers are placed along exit routes and near hazards so occupants can reach one within the travel distance required by the Ontario Fire Code and NFPA 10.
3Mounting height
Units are mounted on secure brackets or in cabinets. For extinguishers up to 18 kg (40 lb), the top is mounted no higher than 1.5 m (5 ft) and the bottom at least 10 cm (4 in) off the floor.
4Signage
Where an extinguisher is not clearly visible, we install location signs so it can be found quickly in an emergency.
5Inspection & tagging
Each extinguisher is inspected, dated and tagged at installation, ready for monthly checks and annual maintenance.
Fire Safety Plan Boxes Installation
1Location review
The box is installed at the main entrance or fire department access point, usually near the fire alarm annunciator, in the location your local fire department requires.
2Box selection
We supply galvanized or stainless steel boxes, surface mounted or recessed, sized to hold your fire safety plan and building schematics.
3Secure mounting
The box is mounted at an accessible height using anchors suited to your wall, whether concrete, block, drywall or steel stud.
4Labelling & locking
Each box is clearly labelled and locked or keyed as required by the fire department.
5Plan placement
We place your approved fire safety plan and schematics inside the box. Need a plan? We can prepare one for you.
Smoke Alarms Installation
1Requirements review
We confirm where alarms are required in your building, including on every storey and outside all sleeping areas.
2Hardwired or battery
We install 120V hardwired alarms with battery backup or 10-year sealed battery alarms, matched to your building and code requirements.
3Interconnection
Where required, alarms are interconnected so that when one sounds, every alarm in the unit sounds.
4Proper placement
Alarms are mounted on ceilings or high on walls, away from kitchens, bathrooms and air vents to reduce nuisance alarms.
5Testing & audibility
Every alarm is tested after installation. Where required, we confirm audibility of at least 75 dBA in sleeping rooms with the doors closed.
6Carbon monoxide alarms
In homes with a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage, we install CO alarms next to sleeping areas as required in Ontario.
Site Walk-Through & Installation Planning
Before any equipment goes up, our technicians walk your building to understand its layout, occupancy and fire hazards.
This lets us recommend exactly what you need, quote it clearly and complete the installation with minimal disruption to your tenants, staff or customers.
- On-site review of your building and current equipment
- Recommendations based on hazards, layout and code requirements
- Clear written quote before any work begins
- Installation scheduled around your building
- Testing, tagging and documentation for your records
