This model uses FK-5-1-12 clean agent, a colorless, odorless, electrically non-conductive agent that discharges as a liquid and flashes to a gas for effective suppression. It is residue-free, will not cause thermal shock damage to delicate electronics, and is accepted by the EPA SNAP program for commercial, industrial, and military use. It also offers zero ozone depletion potential, less than 1 global warming potential, and a very short atmospheric lifespan.
The CA03VB model has a 3.5 lb agent capacity, 2-B:C UL/ULC rating, 8.9 second discharge time, 8–10 ft effective range, and a charged weight of 6.08 lb. Its compact size makes it well suited for installations where space is limited but dependable clean-agent protection is still required.
ANSUL also builds the CLEANGUARD+ series with a large easy-to-read pressure gauge, trilingual mylar nameplate, rechargeable design, and durable steel cylinder construction.
