Fire Alarm System Certification

The Ontario Fire Code REQUIRES owners of commercial & residential properties to have a Fire Alarm System Inspection each year. This is mandatory for insurance compliance and for life safety.

How the Inspection Works:

• All Fire Alarm devices are tested for alarm function by a Licensed Canadian Fire Alarm Association Technician.

• All Emergency Lighting devices are tested for 30 min as per Ontario Fire Code.

• All Fire Extinguishers are inspected as per Ontario Fire Code.

• All test results are documented and any deficiencies are presented to the building owner within a timely manner with a quote for any repairs.

Once the inspection is completed, if there are no deficiencies or once all deficiencies are rectified, the CAN/ULC-S536-13 Report is provided to the customer. The building owner is responsible to have a copy of the report available at the building for Fire Department review.
